My sister in law's health declined suddenly with the development of end of life symptoms that were causing her extreme discomfort. She begged not to go to the nursing home. It was decided to pursue comfort care instead of curative measures. I made a phone call to Helping Hands Hospice, and a very kind, calm nurse took our information. Within the next few hours, nurses arrived at my sister in law's, provided an assessment, called the medical director for orders, and within a few hours, my sister in law was comfortable. Without the support of the many wonderful, caring nurses, nurses aide, social worker, spiritual counselors, I know my sister in law and our family would not have been able to experience her dying in peace at her home.  It is very evident by the care my family received from the staff of Helping Hands Hospice, the local owners and staff really do care about our community. My family and I cannot express enough thanks to the Helping Hands Hospice staff.

I am very happy to write a testimonial for Helping Hands Home Care Service Inc. and the caregivers who took care of my Auntie Sue. We have been connected with Helping Hands since the agency started. Over the course of the past several years we have encountered quite a few caregivers. We are grateful for the professional and consistent manner that this agency has demonstrated as they provided care for Auntie Sue. The office staff worked diligently to assure that all hours were covered even when we had call offs and unexpected changes. They continued to make calls and provide coverage no matter the hour of the day or night.

The caregivers , especially those who took care of Sue as she became very ill were compassionate and respectful. We appreciated the TLC they showed as they cared for her in her last days of life. There are many names I could mention but some achieved a loving and compassionate connection that provided the family members with peace and the strength to handle our emotions as she slipped away. I can NOT say enough about the care givers at Helping Hands. They helped us transition my father from home health care to hospice with no interruption of services. They were caring and compassionate not only to my father but to the rest of the family as well. They made my dad comfortable until the very end.
